I like the boxing analogy, but their only about 10 years difference; they key is, while Melle Mel's ego never let him evolve, Em's ego of being the best caused him to evolve his flow. There are stages to Em's flows over the years, to what he is now. Melle Mel is stuck in the 80's.

You made a good point, Eminem doesn't say anything about these guys.. he gives more love to his predecessors than anyone in the history of rap. Mel started this shit with that interview saying Eminem doesn't belong in the Top 5 and that beating him in a battle would be the easiest thing he ever did.
