Some things I forgot to mention:
1. There is now a way to swap reinforcements without resetting the whole tree!
2. Add customization to hotkeys
3. The things I want to see through is not any can you beat videos

Cozynez the type of guy to rant about alliance just to later buy all the following DLCs to do a no tower challenge

Lots of the comments here are pretty unfair against the game. The game is decent, the balance is objectively better than Vengeance (at the very least pre-patches) and I'd argue even Origins, "It's boring" is a subjective non-argument and you can feel boredom playing ANY game, "too easy" not only do people experience difficulty subjectively, but Alliance has objectively a lot of elements that rises its difficulty compared to stuff like KR1 main campaign where things are simpler with the answers more obvious. And while not visually very interesting, the first area has easily one of the most engaging gameplay out of all the first areas in the series. "No postgame levels" every single KR game launched with little to no postgame levels at first. In general there seems to be this negativity bias surrounding the game to an extent which leads to a lot of bias and in a few cases outright misinformation against the game.

This game also suffers from the Ancient Necropolis syndrome of having to go through 15 minutes of gameplay just to get to the hard part where you might actually lose lives

It’s tuff to hear when a creator loses enjoyment over one of their main pieces of content - but as we grow and mature, ppl change and there’s no point pumping out videos u don’t even enjoy.

Though I found your channel quite late, I had a great time watching some of your videos and hope you realise how much these videos affect ppl, u vids really helped w cheering me up when I was down etc. so thanks and gl w whatever u do in the future🙏

I have one or two major problems with vengeance and alliance too.
Like everyone, I miss the encyclopedia so much since it was so thrilling to unlock all the enemy icons, kinda like a collector's pleasure.
But I also miss the old drawing style of the game, which was more cosy and unique imo

I think there is an info popup in level 2 that explains you can click on enemy portraits, but I am not entirely certain. For the heroics and irons, most of them are a bit meh yes, but levels 13-15 have pretty good irons and heroics. Level 14 iron especially is very difficult. So if you should want to try one or two more at some point, those would be the ones to try.

Another thing is that I personally think the game is too easy, I was able to no lives lost almost every level first try, hardest difficulty, first play through, no knowledge of what I was up against. Personally I think the difficulty was over hyped

The game does tell you about the encyclopedia thing in I think the 2nd level, its neat QoL feature.... if the original encyclopedia was still here, such a baffling change to make.

I feel the same way in regards to the game being rather lackluster. The encyclopedia is gone and I know there's the alternative but the alternative imho sucks, I want to see the enemies in my own pace, not having to find the enemy on a particular level just so I can see info about them, it feels tedious and a waste of time. The upgrade system feels linear, I much prefer the upgrade system in the first 3 games, because I felt like that actually mattered, felt less linear, and felt like I can have more room to maneuver in regards of creating strategies, and considering I suspect the new upgrade system is all because of the fact that all of a sudden can buy new towers, which adds some variety and new strategies, feels more like the devs simply milking us for money. The tower placements feels lazy, the tower placements in in KR 1 or KR 2 had more compared to Vengeance and Alliance, allowing us to strategize whether or not we want to fill the map with towers or focus on one particular part of a lane, that's not to say we can't do that here, but it's to a lesser degree. All in all, I think the game is fine, the artstyle of the units is much better imo compared to Vengeance, but other than that, it didn't really feel like it was worth the wait nor the money for me.

You will be in for a treat after I release my Insanity Mod for KRA. The game is awesome for modding, especially the irons, which I tried to turn into puzzles.

Having no real encyclopedia is incomprehensible but the game has so much potential.

My only problem is that there is less space to build towers.
I feel like In the older games you can build a bunch of towers and still have room, but it’s like they’re focusing only on what the area looks like instead of where players can build towers.

Completely respectable opinion, but it's a shame that your love for the franchise and videogames as a whole is slowly fading away. I'll still check the channel though, you made me consider listening to metal, which isn't something I thought I would do, so I'm grateful for that.

As for me, I'm actually having a lot of fun with Alliance! I just got into the thurd area because I'm taking my time with the game, playing one or two levels a day. The new heroes and towers are a breath of freash air for me, just using the imp pit as my only barrack changes my strategy compared to other games a lot. I'll have to see in the long run, but so far I'm really liking Alliance (and I really gotta finish it quickly to stop improvising the xX_KingdomRushPro_Xx comments on Voduke's polls)

Iron and heroic challenges are indeed lower in quality, I never cared about them in other games but not having the choice of doing them if you can't beat the next level makes the game feel one dimensional, and while I disagree heroic and iron challenges in the first 3 games ever had interesting modifiers, these are still cheaper and more boring. I think they made iron and heroics so low in quality because.... it doesn't matter as much. Not that many people care, I am a bit sad levels with special towers don't get full focus on those towers in challenges, but that's about it, very few people play challenges, and they wanted to put their time elsewhere to things everyone will care about. About not getting any upgrade points for them... it does suck. maybe they're trying to appeal to people who completely hate doing any sort of challenges (irons and heroics are somewhat like challenges) or it's just easier to control and to make sure you are making decisions about your upgrade tree untill you beat the whole game.

2:13 Yup. that will be your ego thinking you already know everything the pop up tips could tell you. Having no stats is a big downside, but I think they we're on the right track, getting to access the enemy info while in a level if you're curios is a great adition. If only they realized pop up cards don't cut it

To unskippable cutscenes, I guess you're right. I don't think they we're a MASSIVE problem but definitely annoying if anything, maybe they just didn't figure out how to have them skipped, since these aren't just prerendered cutscenes but dialogue, and games tend to preder to skip just the current part of them so you have more control and don't accidantelly skip it if you wanted to see them. But leave the tutorial alone, I know we aren't the ones to bother with good design of a tutorial, and waiting for the enemy to walk the whole line was dragging (for those 6 seconds it took, and only one time so it was okay anyway), but it is a good tutorial for new players, and hating on it just because WE don't need it is cruel, when in terms of tutorial design it's supposed to be that way.

I am surprised you didn't bring up the mini campaigns, that would be a valid critique. Waiting 3 more months for probably just one endgame pack of 3-4 levels when aliiance costs more than previous games feels almost like a scam, especially knowing how long it was in development. I know you probably don't have the time or care enough to do a video of similiar quality like with vengeance, but this is just a quick rant with nitpicks you came up on the fly (several of which are wrong, sorry)

The thing that annoys me about alliance is that if it wasn't for the lackluster irons/heroics and the mediocre wave layouts/pacing of the 2nd area this would easily be my favourite game in the series. Its just these 2 rly big issues that drag it down for me

I think you're just feeling burned out. It's pretty normal, give it some time, do what you want with your channel, as niche as the KR saga is, the community will always be here for support.

Stay strong my dude. Focus on what you like.

1:17 you know I never thought of that, thats actually really cool and something I enjoyed from Vengence in Herioc challenges where they restricted you to specific rules to enourge creativy, now added with Heroes.

Another thing about it is Premiums were allowed because well both kinds of players would want to use them, since it's only in a stage that was already completeled th value of the Premium isn't taken.

Though I do wish you could've a Test stage where you can see what you getting for your buck, instead of adevertised it.

I honestly feel like that with every new kr game after origins, Ironhide decides to just remove a random thing from the previous games for no reason other than laziness (largest example being old star system as well as iron and heroic challenge restrictions)
