1. What is the CCLI Streaming License?

The CCLI Streaming License allows you to stream both live and pre-recorded worship services on your church website, social media, or other streaming platforms.


2. Why does my church need the CCLI Streaming License?

Streaming of worship services is NOT covered under the Religious Service Exemption, OR the CCLI Church Copyright License alone. In addition to ensuring your church is legally compliant, the license helps support and promote the songwriters and artists behind the songs performed.


3. What can my church do with the CCLI Streaming License?

Live stream songs performed in your church service on streaming services including Facebook Live and YouTube Live*

Record and archive live songs performed in your church service for future playback

Upload your church service to your website, social media sites, or your favorite streaming services*

Embed and include background lyrics in the stream itself

For clarification, getting this streaming license won't necessarily prevent the takedown of a live stream, but just ensures you can dispute it? If that's so, the sophistication of the bots seems to be the main factor of being able to live stream smoothly.

How do I actually present my licensing to FaceBook live so my stream doesn't get blocked? Is it as simple as embedding the license numbers in my stream title??

DO we need to be displaying things in the video/online and WHAT do they need to do be? We do display all lyrics but does every church need to be displaying/required? Do we need to be showing he song title, writer credits, copyright notice, and your church’s CCLI license number on your online service?? Or in the comments, description? Whats the best practise?

What if we want to play a video or we play an mp3 because we don't have musicians, only singers?

The word "performed" is troubling to me. Church should be a worship service and not a performance, in my opinion. I have been a church organist since 1960.

Y'all should do like epidemic sound and other people like them, and make an integration with Facebook and Youtube that allows for churches to stream. Especially on the Streaming Plus option.
