there is a good reason why there are weight classes in boxing

This reminds me of when trans women got suspended from CHESS so the board could review to see if they had a “biological advantage”. There are no separate male and female categories in chess. 😭 It is never really about the so called “biological advantage”.

Solve this nonsense with weight classes. As a wrestler, it works out.

As a female who plays contact sports:

If the trans male to female meets the required hormones, female categories, bone density, etc requirements for many years, it is fine. Those are literally the requirements. I’ve played against a couple trans mtf people before and won. (mind you trans women are like 1 per every couple million) If they are just starting their hormones/surgeries then obviously not, but it doesn’t even happen in the first place.

I would like to point out how this entire discussion(political discussion not the vid) has always ignored trans men in sports. Like they come in and perform as well as cis counterparts on average so what gives? Its like when a trans man won a wrestling tourney and they couldnt make any bs argument. He was simply better. Remember lia thomas and how controversial she was. She won that one game and then got eviscerated in the next one. Like remember she got last place. Isnt she supposed to smoke with that biological advantage orrrr?

i don’t understand why it can’t just be a case by case basis. it isn’t a black and white situation. some people who are further along in their transition and meet the requirements are perfectly fine. it’s a weird argument to have and i feel like it distracts from bigger issues that surround the community.

As a female and former athlete, when playing against boys on a comparable ranking level/age we were dominated almost every time because height, brute strength, more fast twitch muscle fibers, etc even if we were considered to be more skillful. It very much is and will continue to be about the biological advantage that males develop. With most sports it’s not fair, and will never be fair.

Serena Williams who is arguably the greatest womens tennis player, got beat by male ranked 203rd 6-1 and it wasn't even close. Australia's womens soccer team which was ranked 5th in the world in womens soccer lost to 15yo boys 7-0. Team USA ranked 1 womens soccer lost 5-2 to Dallas boys Academy 15 and under. The Wrexham Red Dragons smoked former team USA womens soccer club 12-0. UK rapper Zuby broke every womens power lifting record after checking the trans box and quoted saying "I wasn't even trying ". I can keep going on, there's plenty more examples of men have a inherit physical advantage when it comes to biology. Anyone saying there isn't is woefully ignorant or just flat out dishonest. But thats the least important issue when it comes to trans athletes in women's sports. When a trans athlete is given a spot that means a biological womens spot is taken away. That's a potential scholarship lost because a woman couldn't compete with the trans athlete and there's no replacing that lost opportunity. Chelsea Mitchell who was a track athlete in the state of Connecticut was ranked 1 overall before two trans athletes started competing against her. She'd continue placing 3rd or 4th for all 4 years of highschool and it cost her scholarships to prestigious schools. I think the best solution for everyone and in the spirit of keeping things fair trans divisions should be created.

"its not about fairness" its a competition though?

She’s completely correct, it’s still a good idea to discuss trans women in sports, personally I think they should have to pass a certain androgen test to enter women’s sports

It is exactly about bone density, muscle structure, reach, and hormone levels when it comes to sports. And trans women have an unfair advantage, as shown in practice, where multiple transwomen have won first places in competitions against women, even though they showed average or even below average results when competing against men before transitioning. Also, derailing the conversation like that was rather annoying.

"Its not about bone density its not about testosterone" it is though???? Its what makes it unfair for women. If a transwoman played tennis against me they'd beat my ass, due to how much harder they would hit the ball

"Nobody gives a shit about womens sports".... EXCEPT THE ACTUAL WOMEN COMPETING IN SAID SPORTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO SUPPORT THEM. 🙄

im sorry but you can look at EVERY SINGLE example of a male to female athlete, reguardless of if its MMA or sprinting or swimming or anything, they have devastated the competition. i understand wanting to be accepting and not discriminating but there has to be a line where we put our pride and egos aside and just admit that its just not fair.

At the major collegiate level football and men's basketball revenue pay for all other sports. Check the crowds at a swim meet. 😂

Guys don’t worry, he already confirmed he’s not becoming “debate with bigots” (Jubilee)

Nope...it is 100% about male bodies competing against female bodies.
I mean we have under 13 boy and girl divided sports too because even at that age we know they are different.

Why not get rid of womens sports all together then. Have women compete for mens sports. If theres no biological advantage? That makes no sense to me

I'm pretty sure that, at the very least, the athletes themselves gave a $h!t about their own sports...
