All the bullets I’ve cast in my life I’ve never had success with aluminum bullet mould blocks, I finally gave up and threw out the last set !!

I can cast perfect bullets all day long with steel blocks ! All my life I’ve used Lyman blocks without any issues, around 30 years ago I bought a set of RCBS and they also make perfect bullets !! I have an old set of H&G and they make fine bullets too !

I’ve cast bullets for going on 50 years now never had any problems until I bought and aluminum mould ! That mould was not going to make a bullet so after a month it went into the scrap pile !
I bought a RCBS mould in same cal. Weight and bullet design, I had fine bullets within half an hour and it’s still making great bullets !
Couple friends of mine cast their own bullets too but always used Lyman or RCBS then I finally met a fellow at the range and he said he sent back his Lee aluminum mould just could not get a bullet out it !

I always preheat my moulds, it’s talked about in two excellent casting books one of which is by the grand master bullet caster !

I clean my moulds too but I don’t wipe them down with gun oil or WD 40 I know some do but I don’t because it takes an hour of making sling shot ammo before a quality bullet comes out !

It might only be a "cherry" if it has provisions to cut lube grooves.

I'm ASSUMING then the two mold halves have to come in from the sides TO the "cherry???"

Never tried to make a bullet mold. Isn't the cutter called a "cherry"????

.351 Winchester Self Loading is NOT easy to find bullets for!!!
I'll bet .401 Winchester Self Loading isn't either.
