Like it or not, Flying Scotsman has lived one hell of a lifetime and become the flag flyer for railways worldwide. The engine turns 100 on the 24th February 2023. The loco's history has been told time and time again, but not by me. Here's to another 100 years to the engine that every railway enthusiast has been given as a gift in one form or another.

Flying Scotsman has officially reached 100 mph, traveled to America and Australia, met S&A 750 and nsw 3801, made the longest nonstop run for a steam engine, and yet has never met America’s most famous steam locomotive, Union Pacific 844.

Today, February 24th, marks the 100th anniversary of the Flying Scotsman, the first steam locomotive in the world to reach 100 miles per hour! 100 years for the first to go 100 mph! How incredible! Happy 100th Birthday Flying Scotsman!!!

Flying Scotsman is a very important engine who he not brings people in his home country but the entire world because of how famous he is. If it were not Alan Pegler, Sir William McAlpine and Doctor Tony Marchington dedication to save Flying Scotsman, Scot would not be here today. I hope Scot continues to run for an extremely long time.
