It's crazy Dan. Now that everyone can pay their players the SEC is just another conference

This is what I don’t understand about the narrative following the Notre Dame defeat of Georgia. “Georgia isn’t the same Georgia, ” is a quote I’ve heard at least 4 times today. They won the SEC! They must still be pretty exceptional to be SEC champs.

I think NotreDame would have won with their backup quarterback Angeli is a very good passer and makes good decisions. He can run too just not the threat Leonard is. NotreDame beat Georgia more with their defense and special teams. I told everyone before the game I said I thought NotreDame would beat Georgia. Not so much because Georgia is not as good as the last 3 years which their not but still a very good talented team with a great coach but because like I said this is the best NotreDame team since the 1993 number 2 team in the country. NotreDame has NFL on both sides of the ball and is very well coach. If they play clean and up to their potential they can beat PennState, Texas and Ohio State imo.

Dan, the Vegas idea is terrible. They're not biased but their goal is not ranking teams. Vegas would've put Alabama into the field - they favored Alabama by 10+ in 3 of Alabama's losses. Let's NOT elevate Vegas as an all-knowing seer, that's not what they do

Brian Kelly will never win a championship. Doesn’t matter where he goes or who plays under him.

Using Vegas seeding is an interesting idea. As a Notre Dame fan, I don’t love it. Bettors/Vegas constantly underestimate them. It may be the most consistent anomaly in sports betting. They are 11-2-1 and +10.9 ATS this season. They are 51-25-2 and +6.0 ATS since 2019. Other teams, like Georgia, see bias the other way. They are -4.7 ATS this season. So, take the game those 2 just played. ND was a -1.5 favorite. Adjust for the betting bias and they were actually a big favorite. ND will get screwed if we use Vegas for seeding.

Penn St will be a good matchup for ND....

Yes, the TV companies want ND vs tOSU. We'll see.

Unbelievable that the games are only on ESPN. So many people in my neighborhood down here in Texas don't have cable so we just listened to local call on radio and didn't watch any of the other games either. If it had been on ABC we would have watched all the games.

It’s a different world but I think it’s better with more parity.

The "buy teams had rust" argument is irrational. Oregon had three weeks off between games and lost to OSU. Having not played in a conference championship game, Notre Dame had . . . checks notes . . . three weeks off between games and beat Indiana. IDK maybe the deciding factor is talent, not time off?

What I don’t get is when teams have buys in the middle of the season all coaches and analyst talk about is how much it’s going to help their team. The playoffs come and it becomes a detriment for the team?

The sieve that was GA's Oline would have gotten beck killed, and thats with an entire end string Dline. Kirby got out coached across the board. yea and if anyone things the sec wasnt paying players in some way prior to the NIL, your fooling yourself.

Why would espn want Ohio state over Texas in the national championship?

Dismissing Texas is one thing. OSU looks unstoppable. But PSU could very likely beat Notre Dame. PSU would have blasted Georgia. As a child Tyler Warren walked downhill to school. Both ways.

This Thing About “The Best” Teams Playing Or Not Playing Is Irrelevant. Your Record Is Who You Are For This Year. The Playoffs Show That Styles Make Fights. At Least They Get To Settle It On The Field.

They probably have the best four. Who is better than the four who just keep winning? Besides, who cares if the best four are in there? It's a freaking tournament.

Embarrassing Vegas for seeding will only theoretically get you MORE blowouts lmaooo

SEC apologist propaganda... ND has been taking graduate transfers long before NIL was a thing. It might have been the only advantage they had as an academic-first institution. SEC is just trying to make themselves feel better.

I expect a slugfest between PSU/ND, but I think Penn State wins
