I love this edition of the Bible. Clean, crisp, direct, and in a beautiful package. I thoroughly enjoy reading mine. Thanks for making a video to make this Bible more known. It's definitely a keeper.

I am making my way through the New Living Translation, Catholic Edition, at as rapid a rate as I can stand. The English Standard Version with Apocrypha, from Cambridge Press, is my next project (perhaps for the Pascha season). My sense is that I will spend far less time making little annotations about better translations or interpretations in the margins of the English Standard Version as I do in the New Living Translation. So, maybe it will take me less time.

Another excellent review from the tincan.

The only reason I haven't purchased this bible is that I spent lots of money for an ESV Diadem with Apocrypha in Calf-Split leather. It didn't have 4 ribbons, unfortunately.

I want both the AOB and the Saint Bernard Breviary to thrive, so I may purchase that Breviary this summer.

Will they be coming out with a Thee-Thou version? (Edit: Sorry, YT put this on the wrong video. My comment was regarding Orthodox Lectionary Bible. Though, this is a beautiful volume as well.)

Lutherans tend to like this version. It was a reaction against the obnoxiously gender inclusive 1989 NEW REVISED STANDARD. For me, the 2001 ESV ✝ falls under not especially great, but not especially bad either. I myself prefer the 1966 Catholic Edition of the REVISED STANDARD. ✝
