Huge oversight. There are no "complex mathematical problems". The miners are constantly guessing a number between a changing range, that's it. It's a lottery, not an algebra test. Besides what would be generating these "complex mathematical problems"?

Hard to understand if one doesnt understand money creation the the first place. The federal reserve can print money at will; municipal govts and states cannot, and individuals cannot. Fed creation is called "fiat" currency, or the currency of a sovereign nation state and others who use that currency (i.e., Ecuador uses dollars) Think of fiat currency as gaming chips in a casino, which are only good at THAT or a few other casinos. Think of it like this: BTC minor are actually CREATING CURRENCY, decentralized rather than fiat currency, though. hope this helps!
