The episode where Tuvok dreamed of strangling him was my favorite Neelix episode.

Neelix was extremely annoying, but even he had his moments. Like the episode Jetrel, that was a serious one and showed a different side of his personality. Like how he was deeply ashamed and angry.

I really don't mind Neelix. I find him to be quite inoffensive and I picture that in-show he is a relentless morale booster to a very homesick Voyager crew.

Lol, Nellix is my daughters second favorite because she thinks the relationship between him and Tuvok is funny and tuvok is her favorite favorite.

I don't think he's annoying, but he is incredibly creepy. I'd be fine with him if it wasn't for his relationship with Kes.

For the record, one of my favourite episodes of Voyager is Rise.

I didn't have any issues with Neelix. He really was earnest about trying to provide and keep the morale up

I give Neelix a pass. That’s mostly because he was usually quite earnest and kind.

Neelix is a complicated character. He's an admitted coward, wears his insecurity on his sleeve but finds redemption. Probably had the most character growth in the whole series.

I like Neelix. He is a complex character. He lost his family and friends. He was alone until he meets Kes and later the Voyager crew. He is not just funny character. He is more than that.
Neelix is a important crew member like the Holodoc.🖖

I mean, Star Fleet is all about accepting cultures. I love Neelix. He's about the only relatable character on Voyager, and it's my favorite series.

Neelix is the Jar Jar Binks of the Star Trek franchise.

I don’t get the Neelix hate, he was always giving, he would have given someone his eyeballs and been happy to do it because it made the other person happy. I kind of understand the Wesley hate but he was supposed to be a kid. Teenagers are annoying at the best of times. To me my least favorite and in my opinion most useless is ever background first officer Chakotay

He’s both the fool and magician archetype. My last watch through of voyager I really realized how great of character he is. Yes, sometimes he still annoyed me but like others have said here, he is a very complex/nuanced character. He tries things others dare not(fool) and gives crucial advice to help the other characters grow further (magician).
Moving the main plot along.

Harvey Mudd is more annoying. Or if not him, his robotic wife yelling "Harcourt Fenton Mudd!"

Nah. It's Wesley. "Shut up, Wesley!"

I liked how he bugged the crap out of Tuvok, 'cus even for a Vulkan he was a stick in the mud.

In all fairness, Tuvok had a holodeck program for Neelix-related stress relief.
And if you can get a Vulcan to fantasize about killing you you sure as heck have serious annoyance potential.
That said though... there are far worse and way more annoying characters in Trek - their only saving grace being that they appear only once or a few times in between.
Neelix had the "disadvantage" of being part of the main cast, thus his antics piled up a little more. But he sure had his moments.

Neelix was amazing and funny and he is just the kindest talaxian you will ever meet. I can sort of see why some people might find him a bit annoying but I think he's awesome and screw you if you think otherwise

It's a testament to how good of an actor Ethan Philips is that Neelix was tolerable at all, and the handful of episodes where he was allowed to be an actual character in his own right, like Macrocosm, Rise and Jettrel, he was really good.
