Tesla Car Wash Mode 2024

With Tesla car wash mode, there are only a few steps. Whether it's a Model Y or Model 3, this ensures windows and other openings are closed while going through a car wash. You don't want the charge port to accidently open from the water pressure.

This is a good video. I remember when I bought my first Tesla in 2019 (2019 Model 3 SR+) and drove it to the car wash. I was supposed to put the car in neutral so the conveyor could move my car along. I'd not needed to put the car in neutral before and I had to google on my phone how to do this. Really embarrassing, LOL. Lots of new Tesla owners will appreciate your video. I'll share it on X. Life seems to be agreeing with you. You look great.

I've seen the "Enable Free Roll", but never knew how to enable it. This is easier than trying to get the car into neutral.

Can you add it to the quick panel and can you do the steps before driving onto the belt or do you have to be on the belt then select free roll?

So can you free roll on to the mechanism that pulls your car OR do you drive on to the mechanism then wait then enter free roll as you are on the mechanism that pulls you forward. Ive seen many videos but no answer to that.

I did this but then the car hopped a bunch. I can see clearly that when you enable free roll it should go into neutral... Do you ever have to manually go into neutral? I actually freaked out and just put it into park on accident and it worked to get through the wash but then the parking was disabled for the rest of the trip :|
