Iceman, 1984. I remember watching this movie when I was really young, the end made me cry. It really was a great movie and quite different for the early eighties.

I love how you can look these up for movies you saw the cover of decades ago in a Blockbuster but never got to see.

The thumbnail…I thought it was The Thing movie.

It's kinda frustrating that the name of the movie is nowhere in the description or in the video itself.

I saw this many years ago and loved it the idea of reviving an ancient neanderthal man was certainly unlikely but the ideology of understanding the past was novel. Acting cast was well put together and the nan that played the caveman was top notch 👌, 😃👍

I was just thinking about this movie the other day. I saw it as a kid and never really understood the ending. I thought it was sad that he died. Now that I’m older I get the sacrifice he wanted to make. Really good movie.

“Shows humanity….” Yeah in RL he would have made the iceman sick and die by all the bacteria and new virus….

Fun fact, evidence suggests that despite the Neanderthal’s having been physically stronger and heavier than us, they’re voices were likely rather high pitched and nasal rather than the low and guttural voices we often imagine them having.

Pretty interesting lol

Anybody that feels bad for the neanderthal at the end shouldn't. He had no family, was being experimented on, and was held as a prisoner. He died how he wanted rather than being tested on more. He had a good ending since he achieved his goal.

NOT all Neanderthals where "Cavemen". Neanderthal man stayed around the opening of caves, and the inner (deeper part) of the caves where held for the Shamans. The paintings in the cave where used a teaching tools. Even at one point it was even believed that the paints would bring game to them.
