Introduction to Lagrange Polynomials

For a set of n data points (with some minor restrictions), one can find an (n-1)st degree polynomial on which each of the n points lies. We show how to systematically produce such a polynomial (called a Lagrange Polynomial) in the case of n = 2 and n = 3. The general case is done similarly.
