Thank you for your review of James Allen. I went with your recommendation and could not be happier. Thinking about switching to the cathedral setting you have so it sits a little higher but still absolutely love it. Thank you!

My wife and I collect antique jewelry. We love j-m colored diamonds. Before the 4 C's were contrived, people from 1870-1940 prioritized carat weight over everything else. The victorians preferred a yellow hue in their diamonds and employed yellow gold from the American gold rush to make their diamonds look even more yellow! But overall, bigger was better. Inclusions were mostly irrelevant and cut... well all diamonds were cut by hand. So cut was completely irrelevant. After WWII most of the big diamonds from South Africa had been sold. DeBeers was left with millions of little colorless diamonds that nobody wanted. In a brilliant move, DeBeers contrived the 4 C's as a way to trick the American public into buying small colorless diamonds. To this day, the 4 C's do not apply to antique diamonds because they were all cut by hand. I'm so happy you got an M!! Diamonds with a little bit of yellow are like magical moods rings and they change color everywhere you go! It's our favorite. Whenever we go somewhere new we stop to check in with our rings to see what the diamonds are up to!

Thank you so much for your videos! I'm looking on Rare Carat for 2+carat K-M loose stones, and I really wanted to see an M!

It's so worth it go down in color and clarity and go up in size.

I see one jeweller saying to get platinum prongs & yellow gold shank to contrast thus brightening the stone too

Am I the only one who is actively seeking a "yellower" diamond? I'm not a huge fan of the clear D colour diamond 😂 Thanks for the video! Very useful xx

is pretty but dosent sparkle so much. flur in diamond preventes the lights from entering and refflecting light and sparkle... it is like a paint on diamond. you always want diamond free of fluroence for

Maybe I missed it in your video but is the ring you have on a 3 carat or 2? I’m in the market for a 2.5 and this is gorgeous

Thank you for this! I’m looking at an M currently. What did you do w/your old diamond? Trying to decide that for myself...

Flourescence it a major detrement to the value of the diamond....you will find that the stone looks 'milky' when you go out into the sun. The South Koreans and many other Asians view the flourescence as 'Bad luck'.

I know it’s been awhile since you posted this, but I’m currently looking at upgrading from a 2ct to a little under 3! I have a CZ that I’m trying out currently and the stone looks humongous to me, so I’m worried that I’d feel a little self conscious while wearing it, but I know shrinkage is real (my 2 feels so small now, lol) Did you feel that it took some time to adjust to the size of your stone? I figure your size 5 with a 2.25 would be similar to my size 6 with almost a 3 :)
