Filmed at the 2019 MAMA Spring Rally. Thanks to all the manufacturers present and the MAMA staff for making this event possible!

The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. If you wear headphones, your mind won't be blown, but it will go, "woah, that's cool."

I'm also the producer for the Winding Road YouTube Channel:

Here on TheTopher, I'm known for putting a camera on my face and driving cars. Whether it's about any of my personal cars or reviews on weekly press vehicles, the goal is to give you an idea of what a certain car is like to drive or live with. Most of my videos are filmed in POV, with my clothes on, and (for like the 5th time) with in-ear binaural audio. Which, if I haven't made it clear yet, is why you should wear headphones. Because of the whole "woah" factor. It's there, trust me. Try it, it's pretty nuts. Or don't. As long as you whitelist me on your adblocker I'm okay with whatever you do or don't do with regards to headphone usage. That is all. Oh and I guess you should also probably subscribe. Why are you still reading this, you should be watching the video. With headphones! Hah, had to sneak that in there one more time. Later!

This is literally the same spec I have xD Red on Red, premium package.

I'm 6'4" and I can drive this no problem. Drive 2 hours total 5 days a week, has been fine so far. Just in case any of my fellow tall peeps are reading/watching. For the weight and size of the car the power is fine. It's nothing to take to the track but as a daily driver this thing is great. The quality of the interior is incredible for the price point honestly, soft touch materials everywhere even in the back seats/doors.

I've noticed the adaptive cruise sometimes does a weird revving thing with the engine where it's like dropping/changing gears when it doesn't need to. Seems to be random, not sure if this is something that happens to adaptive cruise systems or it's just Mazda's. It's minor though, just makes it sound like you're flooring it for a second or two when you're really not haha.

It's definitely distinct looking, the red paint looks fantastic in sun. It turns some heads, though I know some don't care for the rear. I would advise anyone on the fence to just take a look in person before writing it off. I was ready to do the same but in person the rear doesn't look as odd, and I think it really suits the design of the rest of the car well.

Hey! Your videos are amazing. They actually ended up helping me select my new car I just recently got. I was between the Accord, Elantra Sport, and this 3. I chose the 3 and I genuinely cannot be more happy. Thanks for your amazing unbiased reviews :)

I just got this and love it! To be honest, after owning a 2017 Mazda 6, the 2.5L on this car is actually extremely fast since it’s much smaller than the 6–the power is sufficient imo.

I'm obsessed with the backseats on these.

I've got a 2004 mazda3 (1st gen) 5 speed manual in that light gray. Hope Mazda realizes that people still want to have fun

Had a 2008 in the Shadow Grey everyone seemed to have back then. I loved it but always wished it had AWD. Of course I got stuck a few times driving up my snowy steep hill where I live. It's about time Mazda offers it.

Man, that car looks aggressive and I like it! Mazda vehicles are underrated.

Nice! That's a surprising feature with that stop notification! I agree that Mazda should make a Speed 3 version!

If they put the 2.5 turbo in it then I would really consider it

I bought this car and I am so happy, the features are great and it drives so good and smooth and is fairly speedy for its hp. If I was a single guy id bought a manual but girlfriend wants the automatic and it is also very comfortable

Absolutely LOVE these! But I'd definitely skip the AWD.

Great driving I enjoyed it and hopefully I can drive this car in the near future, it will be fun and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it too.

Wait, how did you get Soul Red with a red interior? I have not been able to get that color combo.

lots of hype around this car, but until it gets the engine it deserves and a manual I'll take a pass. Thanks for the good review!!
