Earn Big Currency with Wandering Path Altar Farming Atlas Strategy Path of Exile 3.22

NOTE: I am currently testing out the harvest tree as I agree with people the connected map nodes are probably not worth it for a lucky drop chance. Thus far it is about the same profit per hour due to the time it takes but is much more profit per map so might suit builds with slower movement speed. If it is better by a considerable margin I will bring an update video out with the results. I may also test Expedition Nuke although do not think that will be as profitable but will be quicker than Harvest

RESULTS: About the same per hour profit but bigger income per map. Harvest would work better for someone who does not like trading as harvest juice is super easy to sell in bulks for divines

This is a twist on a basic league start farming strategy that earns a LOT of currency with the current market. It is also super fun (if not a bit deadly to run!)

Why Singular Focus: I don't sell random maps as they can be hard to find a buyer and at best go for 1.5-2c if you can find a buyer, so I have no use for any of the connected maps as I already have a stash tab full of them from earlier WP strats. More chance to drop Mausoleum is more important to me as I can use the maps and they actually sell for 4-5c. I am also planning a GD mausoleum run that will not sustain maps at all so the more mausoleum the longer I can do this strat.

Why take connected map nodes: This strat does not need many points to work you just need duplicated maps, higher maps, deli chance and qty/rarity. Due to this I just took the connected map nodes to give myself a rare chance of dropping valuable currency. You can take other nodes if you like

I definitely feel like I dropped way more sextants and chaos orbs than I usually do (When they are not part of the altars). However it is impossible to know and may just be good RNG

Feel free to favourite glacier if you want more maps. You can honestly take whatever nodes you want such as shrines if you wanted to take different nodes. You can also take master mission chance, but again I don't as I have 100s of each I will probably never use

you could pick up orb of bindings to "alch" your maps giving you even easier time to "sustain"

Thats interesting, I always took growing hoard only for harvest and expedition. Thats really clever choice of points.

I never even thought of taking “Growing Hordes” with Wandering Path. I ran a similar strat alot this league on Crimson Temple. Someone did a test on pack size vs quantity and pack size, might be better. Unless you’re using both in this case. Im definitely gonna try this.

I ended up taking off some top hat and squeezing points into expedition (cos i'm playing a chain explode build) - made 45D this weekend with no "lucky" drops at all, just super easy profit every time one of my div quotas fills up. Amazing

I'm a big fan of hunting alters in deli, but I'm a sucker for blue on cemetery. The boss rushing strat pushed my build investment high enough to start pumping them out efficiently so I'll probably jump back that way soon. It is interesting looking at it through wandering path though, usually I throw legion or strongboxes in but they don't work as well with WP.

But yeah to add to the content for everyone, I've recently tried pumping pack size and magic pack size with eldritch altars. But i'm not on wandering path.

I'm making use of Posessed drops 3 polished scarabs, 25% more magic pack, unidentified maps has 25% more pack, and 2 additional essence compasses.

Reason for this is I mix essence with Torment but I'm not ghosting. I just make sure they double my Shriekings/Scarabs so I can self sustain Growing Hordes. I tried it with delirium, with beyond(7 gates) and I found out that no deli mirror is the way to go for more eldritch pack size. Altho some ppl have told me that even Beyond interferes with altars so im going to try it without. So far I can self sustain my league mechanic costs, my sextants and scarabs and some occasional divs. So far so good. I can flip chaos to divs easy. I've ran 60maps of unidentified corrupted crimsons. No big drop other than 7YBL and Enlightened and a few raw divs and voidborn keys. I have yet to sell Essences regardless I haven't had any currency lost since investment per map. Almost 3 divs investment total but up 4 divs already and I still have a lot of maps and compasses left.

If you are singular focus with all favorites mausoleum your adjacent map drop nodes are wasted. If you change one favorite to an adjacent map that is 1 or 2 more maps to sell per map (10c). Or just take something other than adjacent map nodes. You won't beat 10c with 1-2 random currency per map.

I am a real fan of this strat. Deli seems like one of the best mechanics for wandering path. Only issue I have with it is that early on deli orbs are pretty dang cheap. However, would usually just save them for self use anyways. Besides deli would you consider any other mechanics for wandering path? Possibly expedition? See y'all in Jungle Valley in a few days o7o7o7o7

if you run singular focus and only favorite mausoleum, isn't the chance to drop an additional connected map completely wasted?
Isn't that like allocating 25 atlas points for a 100% chance to drop an alch basically?

i think ima run this with oppenheimer as well. I love my big expedition splosions :D. But yeah i have a pretty click intensive setup on my passive tree as well atm so thisll be good
