I have this exact hairstyle. I recommend using a hairband (the zigzag looking one preferably) in the very front of the hair after blowdrying. Leave it on for 20 to 60 mins and afterwards you will have really nice volume to work with in the front. Takes a while to get used to though as you don't want too much volume so avoid having the band too far back

I'm doing so many of these kinds of haircuts at the salon right now. I've been visualizing how i want it to lay, and feeling out the cut to try to figure out the best way to go about it, with no real direction at all.
