Keeping the old stadium as a second stadium would not be sensible. The running costs would be ridiculous and all the time it would be getting older and older and more expensive to repair.
Just think of all the wiring, plumbing, sewerage etc that would need to be replaced. The daily Utility costs. The refurbishments, the regular repainting and other maintenance. Staff costs, groundsmen and Security, all these things mentioned would be a massive burden.
The memories will still be there we need to start afresh with a new stadium and just plaques in the floor and statues of the "great" to remind us of the "Old" Old Trafford.

Ruud was a superb striker and his experience and guidance will prove invaluable

I find it hilarious that Beth & Mark were slandering Amadou Onana all summer but now say we need a physical midfielder when linked to Angel Gomes

The leaches ( glazers) should be made to put there hands in pockets to pay for the stadium, or sell the club to someone who will pay

Old Trafford gives me a titanic vibes, they should not knock it down, people around the world are sooo curious about this stadium, They want to feel this stadium, just don’t knock it down

If the human race kept every historical building untouched without developing them or knocking them down to regenerate the area, there would be no progress. We all love old trafford but we cant let sentimentality get in the way of keeping our football club at the very top of world football ensuring we have a great stadium worthy of Manchester United.

Old Trafford is falling down . Would be nice to keep it but a brand new stadium if it ever happens would be great

OT needs to be treated as an asset. Every asset has a useful life. Time to build a new Trafford and create a new theatre of dreams.

Wonder why Jim and Beth (who likes shiny new things 😀) refer to Wembley all the time like it's owned by a club and not the national stadium that it really is. We got to be funding and owning our ground. Imagine the banter Chelsea fans get for not owning Stamford Bridge. It would be nothing compared to what rival fans will throw our way.

Is there really no compromise between demolishing old trafford or building a new stadium?

Too few are thinking in what the cost will end up being to watch the club play, tho it's obvious that the price on tickets will increase by a decent amount as well..

The debt were in and the price of a new stadium worries me. These builds never come in on budget so I’d expect another 500m on top of the £2blillon. With the £800 debt loaded on to the club from glazers that is a heavy load of debt on a business that requires consistent positive results. We have so far to go to get back to the top we need a few under performing seasons and as a business we could be financially finished.

Purely on current ability Gomes benches Mainoo at this moment in time for me. Has a bit more to his all round game going forward and passing range . Can see him taking Mainoo's place as England's starter alongside Rice tbh

If they are going to build a new stadium it has to be a lot more than 100k capacity. You could expand Old Trafford to that fairly easily by making the south stand the same as the north stand. No point in losing all the history for a few thousand more seats.

Yes the new stadium would look all wow and flashy. For about 30 seconds. Then it would just be another soulless stadium.

With Gary Neville involved he will be desperate to tear down Old Trafford and build a hotel and housing on the site.

They should have kept the Old Trafford alongside the New Trafford for the ladies and a reminder of it'd history!! They could do it installments! A long term project! It's just Greed!! New Trafford sounds good

Why don't they keep old Trafford and let the women's team and the others play from there.
