Air Max Pre-Day 'Light Liquid Lime': Review & On-Feet

One of the more underrated releases for this year's Air Max Day, Nike released the debut colourway of the Air Max Pre-Day. Channeling 1970s style with modern day tech and sustainability practices, these incorporate recycled materials in both the upper and sole, and completely expose the Air Max unit on the heel, showcasing it in its totality. Just got mine and I almost sent them back because they felt too small both in length and width, but after walking around the house for a bit and lacing a little looser they feel nice. Snug but not uncomfortable. It's the best air unit that I've felt. Definitely more compression than most but still feels stable. Love the retro modern look.

This is one for me one of the best air max evolution to date. I’m not even talking about using air. I’m talking evolution of air. This is an evolution of air. This shoe for me is VERY underrated, same as vapormax and the same way am1 in it’s time. But we talk again in 20 years 😏

I think the air max set up on these kills it. The upper has a great mix of modern and retro styling that works great by itself. The styling of the exposed air just kinda takes the shoe in a direction that isn't necessary. Covering up that max unit with my finger and imagining a solid white midsole seems to tie the shoe together better than what I see here. That said, I really really want to like this shoe. Maybe more color ways will allow it to grow on me! Great video and photography as always.

I suspect that air unit responds better to pressure without being incased in polyurethane, the styling came across somewhat plain but the on foot helped me like this new design and colourway

I grabbed a 12 from Bodega and agree with his sizing info. I wish I could half-size up in this model, but good luck finding 12.5s
