These long raw videos are really good and enjoyable! Really nice format for Design Cinema

Honestly the best video I've seen from anyone... Really opened up my eyes to the real design process.

This is easily one of your most helpful lectures! I think it shows exactly why design is not just about creating beautiful paintings, but coming up with an interesting problem and solving it.
Also, this format makes it much easier to understand the whole process and practise it with your own concept, instead of just following along.

Really love seeing this kind of process. The thought process and design stuff is rarely seen and I really wish I could see more

this channel is a school itself. I behave it as an art school and take notes. I've filled 2 100 page notebook of the critic's tips and other things. thank you so much. you and Scott Robertson did so much for us students who don't have access to art schools.

I absolutely loved this episode. The way you developed an overhead shot and then placed the cameras was one of the best things I have learned in a long time. Thank you for taking your time to educate. I am placing this method in my workflow immediately.

This must have been the most important video from me regarding studying concept art.

For years now I've been struggling to get anything on paper while when I was younger it almost came naturally. I loved to imagine all kinds of worlds, what the people and architecture would look like and how they managed to live in such an environment. But over the years I've totally skipped that part and just tried to create "nice artwork" which, like I said, never worked out for me. Also focusing so much on the fundamentals of painting made me so anxious to put even just a simple line or shape on paper, worrying that my point of interest wasn't in the right spot. But looking at you just drawing and having a blast with it makes me so excited!

I can't wait to see you in Paris, Mr. Zhu. Unfortunately I have almost no work to show because of the reasons stated above and because of all the brain noise from the past couple of years (relationships, depression, unsure of the career I wanted to follow, etc.). But even though my portfolio is very thin at the moment and so I won't be able to get a lot of feedback from you guys, I'm sure I'll be going home again completely fulfilled, since you guys are so very inspiring. You make me feel like this is a career worth putting the hard effort in for.

Thank you!

Thank you again Feng for providing these lessons. Your lessons along with a few from others have made all the difference for me.

Thank you very much! this is very helpful.
Most tutorials I've watched already had their ideas thought up before hand.
Seeing how you brainstorm things, how you use reference, and your work flow is very enlightening .
Thank you!!!
