How to Rough-In Electrical Wiring (Basement)

Little demo on what you'll need to rough in the electrical wiring for a room with various examples. Light switches, lights, outlets, ethernet.

I would use 12/2, it's currently only $40 more than 14/2 for a 250ft roll at Home Depot. Next to nothing in the grand scheme of the overall construction costs. You have a decent amount of receptacles there, which is good, but you never know what someone will be plugging in there. It's not a code rule, but it's good practice to separate lighting circuits (14/2) from receptacles (12/2) in new construction.
