The production on this album is like a single malt whiskey. Your first taste is going to overwhelm you, but as you drink more and more of it, you get used to the proof and start to appreciate all the individual nuance and complexity. I first listened to STH having never listened to JPEG before and bounced right off because there was just too much going on that it sounded crowded and noisy. But it always intrigued me enough to come back for a second listen, and a third, and a fourth. And now I'm fucking addicted.
