Nikon Coolpix P900 Zoom is a Telescope! Check out this moon detail

Check out this quick video of the moon shot from my backyard the other night. The camera's 2000mm equivalent lens can pick up details on the moon similar to low powered telescopes. It's pretty amazing. You can even see the moon moving in real time as it's zooming in close enough to discern that movement.

I used the optical zoom only for this video.

At some point consumers could take pictures of the moon landing sites from their backyards :D

both the earth and the moon are moving, but it´s mostly the earth´s rotation the one your are noticing in the shot.

Are we not seeing the Earth rotating instead of the Moon orbiting? Either way it's super awesome and makes me want the camera for that single purpose haha

Isn't it the earth that's moving, and not the moon? I might be wrong though, just wondering ;)

Lol, the moon is moving, but what you're seeing is more so us (earth) turning....
