'Citadel' (Demon) by Subwoofer | Geometry Dash 2.2

The third Event level is "Citadel" by Subwoofer! When we posted the teaser for the creators a few weeks ago, I think Subwoofer was the one who was guessed the most, which makes sense; he has an incredibly recognizable style. At the same time, he makes a lot of really nice and accessible levels, so he's the perfect fit for this kind of project. I also knew he could make something good within the limited time frame, and I'd say he delivered on that end. This may just be my favorite work of his thus far, which is saying a lot considering all the bangers he has made in the past.

Since this song is classified as bass house by NCS, they wanted it to use the color purple. Aside from that, Subwoofer mixed in pink, green, and/or blue in pretty much every part, making for some really nice color combinations. Of course, it features lots of simple but cool art, which is what makes his style so recognizable most of the time. However, what makes this stand out from his other works to me is probably the effects. Some examples include the blocks being sliced at 0:47 and then the entire screen at 1:12. With many other small touches like this, the level feels a lot more alive. I'd definitely say it's my favorite NCS album level thus far, and both of the previous two were really nice too. All in all, this got a deserved Legendary Easy Demon rating.
