Recreated to an unprecedented level of detail and realism, ‘The Hook’, as the CH-47 is fondly named by its operators, provides a an extraordinary new game dimension to DCS, with troop, spec-ops, cargo, weapons, vehicle delivery and heavy lift sling operations at the key.

As an evolution of the “D” model, the CH-47F incorporates significant upgrades that include a glass cockpit, upgraded engines, easier maintenance, new cargo capabilities, and an extended service life. Serving in the U.S. Army and other armed forces, the CH-47F is engineered to meet modern-day transport requirements, excelling in high-intensity combat situations, humanitarian aid missions, and disaster response operations.

As a Chinook pilot, ending my military career in a couple of years, I am so glad I will be able to continue to fly the beast thanks to DCS.
I am just hoping the flight model is accurate enough to be enjoyable

Non combat aircraft like Chinook bring so much potential to DCS. Great work guys!

As a former chinook mechanic I've been waiting for this day since I left the Army 8 years ago.

This is so cool! I talked to a CH-47 pilot the other day at an airshow and he was telling me how much this thing has been upgraded. With an all glass cockpit, auto takeoff, auto hover, and more

I see so much more coming to DCS than just a new helicopter! ❤ Transport and logistics look soooo promising.

Looks like my wallet took a flight with the Phantom, got lost in the rugged terrain of Afghanistan, and landed empty inside a Chinook!

It sorta sounds like they are teasing troops being able to board and disembark the aircraft 🤔 I really hope that makes it into this module and to the rest of the aircraft that can carry troops. Either way this is going to be an important addition to DCS world and I can't wait to do some escort missions with real people behind the 47.

Not buying this one until we have dynamic campaign and a fledged out logistics network

Is ED's financial situation okay? I'm worried about pre-ordering now.

All we need now is the UH-60 Black Hawk to the collection.

I have spent many hours, geared up in the back of these, during my time in 11AMB Royal Netherlands Army. This was our taxi. Our main way of infill and exfill. And yes, i pre-ordered it.

Now the real question, is there new mechanics that we can use this with or do we have to rely on scripts still?

I trained in the Army National Guard. to work on the Chinook rotor hub, 68D Aircraft Powertrain Repairer, the size of it compared to other helos in the army was astounding. The sad thing was that once at my unit, an avcrad, I never got to work on one again. I have always wanted to fly and did in college, but never did in the military as I dreamed, I put love and life in front of my dream. My wife now bought me vr, and I adore the huey, the Apache, I can not wait for the Kiowa and the Chinook. Thank you for bringing flight to my life again, even if it is simulated. Thank you.
