In this lecture we attempt to perform image processing on images obtained using the webcam. We do this using the html canvas methods and vanilla JavaScript. This method has been briefly introduced in this another video:

In the Visual Web Development (VWD) course we study HTML Canvas and use vanilla JavaScript to make: physics engines, object recognition apps, augmented reality, interactive animation and simple games. Some of the last projects will include apps inspired by the Marvel cinematic universe (Dr. Strange and Spiderman):

The VWD course was taught also a second time with a totally different objective: to build an augmented reality piano that you can play in front of the webcam. OMG im glad i found your videos :) .... starting out on your courses. The damn recommendation engine did not suggest this video while i kept looking for canvas.... i come here from quora
