this is a story of depression. she built a castle in her mind so she wouldn't get hurt. the only problem was, nobody could get in to help her, and the castle (her mind) was drowning yet in fire at the same time. the drowning symbolizes natural destruction, such as the wearing down of the walls. the fire is inner turmoil that this depression has caused, destroying almost everything but her depression, the rubble that remains. she will eventually be happy again, but she will never truly forget her fight with depression. she only wants to love and be loved, though her mind will never let her do so. hence the line "and there's no one to love you if you trap yourself inside."

I went through a lot the last few years and it took so much effort to pull myself out of my depression but surrounding myself with positive and loving people helped me realize my worth and it helped me a ton <3 anyone struggling out there, you are your happiness.
