This song brings back flashbacks from November 17, 2018. Me, my best friend Tyler and 2 of my other friends were hanging out in my car when Tyler began saying he was having trouble breathing. He suffered from asthma so he used his inhaler and for a minute everything seemed fine. He then said he was having chest pains and we began to get nervous. Before I could even ask if we should possibly go to the hospital to get it checked out, he slumped down headfirst on the dashboard and all hell broke loose. My friend and I who were volunteer paramedics Immediately knew it was a heart attack. My other friend called 911 while me and my friend pulled him out of the car and began CPR. Thankfully the hospital was just 3 min down the road and they got there fast. We hoped that our immediate actions would help him pull through. About 15 min later, I got a call from the hospital asking for me, the nurse proceeded to say that Tyler had indeed suffered a massive heart attack and tragically upon arriving at the hospital less than 10 min after he slumped down in my car, he was pronounced brain dead. There was nothing more they could do except put him on life support and it would give him a few more hours for his family and friends to say their goodbyes. Me and two other friends who were with me that day were there at the hospital till 12:37 AM the next morning when they decided to take him off life support. I always ask myself if there was more I could have done for him that day. Like if I should have drove straight to the hospital when he said he was having trouble breathing or if I should have went with him in the ambulance to continue CPR and he possibly could have had a chance if I continued. It’s been almost exactly 3 years since that day. RIP Tyler, rest easy brother
