Make two ships, one with guns, and one to sink

Attach a rubber band to the tail of the airplane and a "rake" a bar with pins sticking out of it like a rake that can be angled forward or back by a servo to catch and release an airplane.

So, remember that video you did ages ago with DIY Perks with the submarines, and how you said you’d come back to it? Either finish/upgrade that submarine, or make a military style submarine that can launch model rockets!

I'd recommend making the carrier longer, also adding more arresting cables it will seriously help you get more energy on takeoffs and give you much more space for errors on landings

Interesting project!
Try making the aircraft carrier to scale, it would be much easier to put the aircraft on the deck. You could also try incorporating a safety net and a simple catapult into the design, since you didn’t seem to have much trouble getting airborne, and a safety net would have kept the one plane out of the water.

for carriers landings i think its good to make the r/c aircraft wirement compartment hidrophobic so the water cant pass through and destroy the circuits or you can add a system that cuts the energy flow in such way that it does not end on curt circuit

You should try magnet accelerators to launch the plane, and also use them in reverse to catch the plane upon landing! Very simple solution for a difficult problem.
