Thank you so much for posting this. Beautiful song. No one could play it as beautifully as Jeff Beck.

Met both at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp last April in Las Vegas. Both were such great people. Beck was truly happy to be sharing his talent and inspiration with everyone present! What a true gentleman! I'm looking forward to seeing them again in Montclair NJ, next Wednesday the 16th!

The lyrics to this song is all about Brian Wilson. I'm glad we didn't loose him.

Jeff Beck is the absolute Greatest Guitarist alive. No other can put the feeling into a song as he does, I will be seeing him for my third time in Detroit. Can't wait.

Jeff Beck, genius beyond compare, there are no other guitarists like him, he breaks all the rules, he won't be put in a box, he collaborates with all sorts of artists, he is in a class of his own, incidentally Danny Boy's lyrics were provided by Frederic Weatherly a native of Portishead, North Somerset, put to the traditional Irish tune of a 'Londonderry Air' which I have heard sung late at night in many Irish pubs.

I was thinking the same (re: a few more nights would cinch it)... already less "wobbles" the 2nd night, I think. I would see this show again in a heartbeat... as you say, every second was golden.
BTW, Surf's Up was perfect @ Ruth Ekerd...

So damn great! Saw them the next night in Clearwater, and was hoping somebody had the foresight to catch this one... I had goosebumps the whole time! Beck takes chances like nobody else... a real "genius" (and that word gets thrown around too much!)

Yeah, you're right ^ I checked out that Modest Mouse song...and started to dozing off at 2:10 (of 4 min song)...just a one chord jam & tons of effects. Don't get me wrong, i think Marr is a talented guitarist, but I prefer a great melody & a guitarists that have a signature sound...Both Jeff & Johnny do, no doubt. I just really dig the soulfulness of this performance & serving a great song well...Oh well, different strokes...

This is wonderful playing by Jeff Beck, but why is Brian Wilson even mentioned in the title? His role here is "Stand silently." I wanted to hear him sing!

They made a few mistakes during the performance. Watch California Girls. Brian blows the lyrics in the first verse. It's rather funny when he realizes it. Beck stops the encore 3 times at one point, and during "You Know You Know", the drummer and the bass played messed up the end. This could have been Jeff's fault, too. I sat in for the sound check, and I got the impression that they hadn't rehearsed enough. None of this matters, I enjoyed every single second of it, sloppy or not.

It would be interesting to see how tight they get everything after they've been through it a few more times.
