Cool comparison as they appear to be quite similar in design and specs overall. I found the original Buds Pro to keep falling out of my L ear (returned them); issue resolved with Buds Pro 2. Buds Pro 3 look like they will fit as well and will attest the mics on Buds Pro 2 are some of my favorite for calls.

Maybe your ANC comparison test was too short to show their real capabilities, but Buds Pro 2 were quite noisy at the moment you switched to them from Buds 3. Was it just coincidence?
And now that you have both of them at home, which ones are you going to use more often, which is the winner for you, if you don't compare their price?

then why is the Bud 2 Pro almost twice as expensive as the Buds 3? It doesn't seem like they would be much better

But the Buds 3 were offered when buying a 12R a couple weeks ago

Didn't watch any test, as they were offered
They are very intuitive, maybe not as good as very expensive other brands on the market

But works really well
Battery ain't as good as JBL Tune Beam, but these seems to be monsters in terms of battery life
And as free buds, damn they're good

Case is very good in a pocket because it isn't thick like the JBL case

Thanks for the comparison-video, very useful! It is very difficult to judge whether the OnePlus Buds 3 are better or worse than the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. This video seems to suggest there is little between them while some quality reviews claim the Buds 3 are better (improved ANC, slightly better audio, slightly clearer sound during calls, better battery life) while others again believe they are slightly poorer than the Buds Pro 2 because they are cheaper, meant to be a mid-level version which lacks some features that the Buds Pro 2 has (wireless charging and a few other features).

Some reviewers rave about the ANC in the Buds 3 while others say ANC is poor and disappointing. Some rave about the audio while others say it is only average compared to the best out there. What is one to believe with all these different opinions? It must be difficult for people with say the OnePlus buds Pro 1 whose battery is slowly dying to know whether they should upgrade to the cheaper but newer Buds 3 or instead buy the more expensive older Buds Pro 2.

Cheaper does not necessarily always mean poorer. Many agree that they set the price for the Buds Pro 2 too high and perhaps OnePlus decided to correct this and sell the quality Buds 3 cheaper than expected. Perhaps there will be a Buds 3 Pro later, we don’t really know. Hopefully more people will compare these 2 models so it will be easier for new buyers to know what to go for.

Watching this review using my OnePlus Buds Pro 2. The only thing the Buds 3 have is the volume control. I personally don’t care for that. So i’m good. Not to mention I love my Buds Pro 2. Hopefully OnePlus releases a Buds Pro 3 this year or next year.
