Recently, Georgia Representative Todd Jones stumbled over his words, inadvertently admitting that he is sponsoring legislation to financially benefit his own company, Talitrix. Jones owns a patent on the "wearable" monitoring technology required to fulfill the purposes of HB520. Sponsoring legislation to one's own financial benefit is against the law in Georgia.
