I just bought 2 Volvos from Dyer Volvo in Atlanta, GA, a 22’ XC60 and a 22’ S60. Both were bought well under MSRP, and we received right around KBB for our trades. Had to pay $499 for Lo-Jack on both, was already installed, but $2k off on the S60 and the XC60 was around $4k off, so we were ok with that. Good experience.

In VT/NH they are not calling it a "mark-up." However, they are charging $1300 admin fee and forced $2200+ "value package" of $100 worth of accessories they somehow can't remove even though the car hasn't arrived.

It’s not dealerships charging above MSRP, most of the dealerships in my area didn’t add “additional markup” BUT THEY HAVE THE BALLS TO CHARGE ME $500 FOR TINT, $300 FOR FLOOR MATS, $400 FOR ADDITIONAL PLASTICS.

Great info guys! What is your opinion of the Costco Auto Program?

That is backwards from what I have found here in Columbus Ohio, the sampler dealership still had market adjustments on vehicles. The larger volume dealerships are selling at MSRP or even a few grand off. We shopped Tellurides and Atlas.

I sell Mazda/VW's in West Texas. We have 0 dealer market adjustments, a whopping $150 doc fee, and no hidden fee's or required back end prouducts. Feel free to reach out if you ever wanna have a customer reach out to me if they want a Mazda/VW. I have shipped cars all over the country over the last 3 months because of the idiots and their crazy business practices.

My wife bought a Subaru Ascent from an Autonation dealer and threw out the pink license plate frame. Unless you gave me a cracking deal, I am not advertising for them.

All the small dealerships in my area have sold out to the big dealers now. No Toyota dealers are mom and pop around here now, you may find a Ford or Chevy dealer in small towns may still have a few mom and pop dealers. But, it seems like the biggest part of them are selling out to the bigger dealers, because they are retiring and no one in family wants to take over.
I think that’s sad, just like the small town owned stores have gone out of business because of the big box stores .

YEP! Best and mostly only honest dealer in my city just celebrated their 100th birthday last week. Great people with several brands under their name, but the grand sons still run it. So the name of their dealership is still the name of the person sitting in the booth.

The mom and pops near me are the ones that’s selling above MSRP. Anywhere from $5k-$30k ADM depending on the vehicle.
