This *FumeFX 6* tutorial explains how to generate splines along the geometry surface and how to control particle size and spline shape thickness based on the geometry vertex color.
By using the Simulation Info node, we will generate small number of particles for interactive simulation and large number for caching. Finally, we will explain how to use Arnold curves to render splines without the need for meshing which drastically reduce caching times and renders smooth curves regardless of the camera position.
*Arnold curves* also allow interactive change of the shape size without the need to re-cache.
