I am really pleased that my country, New Zealand, has joined the training effort by sending around 200 of our soldiers to the UK to assist in the training of Ukrainian soldiers including artillery training. We also have around 50 of our military personnel in Germany assisting with the logistics of supply to Ukraine. Just part of the effort that so many countries are putting into this and we are pleased to be working alongside other nations in defeating this unwarranted aggression in Europe.

Interesting, during the Angolan Bush War, circa 1970's we were conscripted at 18, three months basics and three to six months specialist courses before any deployment. Very brave young Ukrainians need as much as we can do to help.

Members of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry were despatched to the UK recently to aid in the training of Ukrainian soldiers. This regiment has a long & proud history with notable battle honours. If you read up on the Korean War battle of Kapyong you will get some idea of the quality of these troops & the tradition they draw upon.

The Youtube channel Perun has good breakdowns of the war, and regarding this topic, he has shown how Ukraine seems to have enough volunteers, but lacks the ability to train and equip them all. Of course the West is now helping with both of those, but especially when it comes to equipment, Ukraine seems to have just enough to hold off the Russians and in certain areas, make small progress. That's the main reason any large offensives haven't happened yet. We in the Western parts of Europe need to do more, it's quite infuriating to see the future of Europe balancing on this conflict, and meanwhile we have countries only donating a few million here and there (UK excluded, they're already a major donor).

The Ukrainians have proven themselves to be exceptionally brave and intelligenton numerous occasions, so special forces operations in the Crimea isn't beyond their capabilities.
