THIS HONDA FIT MOD WENT TERRIBLY WRONG...

What was supposed to be a simple muffler install turns into my biggest nightmare.. To recap I purchased an exhaust system from Unequal fabrication and with the install of the kit, it's been a headache to deal with from fitment issues to poor quality v band clamps.. sucks man.

Many of those problems are also definitely attributed to your own modifications, also, you keep overtightening the v-bands. Stainless steel v-bands will stretch the t-bolt and the nut will snap off the t-bolt, they're all like that. You have to get them just tight enough to seal and not go ham on em.

Honestly you should've just left on the stock exhaust. Putting exhaust on that Fit does absolutely nothing but make noise.

Zosh, just reduce the size of the pipe where it's touching if the exhaust is 2 1/4" then make the section where it touches 2"

Wrap the part that's hitting your frame with exhaust wrap. Double up on it. Should work then use metal zipties to hold it onto the exhaust. Don't wrap the whole thing just maybe 5 inches or so where it hits

Don’t worry. My exhaust on the TSX makes a squeaking ratting sound at idle. My muffler also melted my brand new OEM rear Lip a little bit.

I've tried a bunch of different setups on both GDs and GEs and the best combo is a header, stock cat and midpipe, with an HKS axleback

Does this mean that since you undailied the daily your its going back to the daily. Also this is one of the cleanest fits out there from all of the exterior mods to the ones on the inside as well. The only LED you didnt change were the reverse lights so I would assume the turn signals and brake lights aren't LED... Needless to say it is one of the cleanest Fits on Youtube

they could weld another hanger in that area, to keep the exhaust from vibrating, but i think u should just do a reducer and go down a size in piping in that area
