Today I'm creating two 12"x12" abstract mixed media landscapes on cradled wood panels using acrylic paint, collage paper, and neocolor crayons.

How do you like to begin your abstract landscapes? I'd love to hear how you begin your process in the comments!

Comments, questions, and shares are always welcome and appreciated - Thank you for watching!

I love your videos because you think out loud & we can hear you problem solve. I struggle with mixing patterns bc my brain wants order (so of course I want to make abstract art! 😂). Hearing your thought process is helpful. Thank you!

This was so interesting and helpful. I'm brand new to painting andI especially loved the way you said … "It may not make sense in the natural world, but it makes sense in this little world." I will keep that thought in mind when I create my own little worlds. Thank you for so generously sharing your knowledge!

Love these! And the gloss medium to dilute the neocolors...great idea! Can't wait to try using a medium with my water soluble media. 🤓

Watching you brayer the white paint is like watching the snow building up in my yard.

I love seeing the process and the finished work is beautiful and unique! Can you explain the water splattering technique? Or maybe do a video showing how to do it? I haven't been able to make it work.

Thank you so much for the tip on using matt medium for the bleed line. I have never heard that before and I have painted for years. Thanks again.

What a happy discovery for my morning coffee. I enjoyed watching and listening to your process. Mine is similar. A couple of times you might have heard me say, Try that vertically. 🤣 Thanks so much!

Finally got around to subscribing after watching your videos off and on for a few months. Wanted to wait to see if I felt really ready to start applying some of your teachings and ideas, and get my paints back out, to make it easy to begin playing again. You’re inspiring, helpful, crazy talented, and I enjoy listening to you! So all around, thanks for sharing your talent in this way!

Wow!!! Happy Sunday🎉❤ These are so gorgeous 😍 So unique-the color and shape choices!!! And I've never done a landscape, I need to give a try one day. That would not be natural for me so I'd have to work at it. Ill have to challenging myself Jackie. Happy Holidays 🎉

I love how these turned out . When you first put the acquinone gold on the canvas I didn't see the paint ? It looked like a crayon . Could u please explain what you used to go over the white with the gold & did u use a scraper ??? Thank you
