Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Tuesday reiterated his condemnation of North Korea's latest missile launch and said it was "an outrageous act that was absolutely impermissible."

Kishida said he held talks with Adm. John Aquilino, Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, and reaffirmed "strong determination and cooperation between Japan and the United States" and agreed to conduct joint exercises, which he did not elaborate.

Kishida also said he planned to hold telephone talks with U.S. President Joe Biden later Tuesday "to reaffirm strong cooperation" between the two countries.

"I believe we must reaffirm and step up cooperation of Japan-U.S., Japan-U.S.-South Korea and Japan-South Korea toward North Korea's complete denuclearization based on the United Nations' Security Council resolutions," he said.

Kishida also reaches his one-year milestone as Prime Minister on Japan on Tuesday.

"I will continue to work hard to fulfill these duties with all my heart and soul," Kishida said.

The same response always. An aggressor doesn’t care what you think about what they do. When will we learn?Middle East Russia NOrth Korea and China don’t care about condemnation. Opposing countries should act swiftly and respond effectively. Quit the soft approach. They don’t care about sanctions. They don’t care about warnings. Do something already
