Sen. Marco Rubio is absolutely wrong about the extradition bill. The bill was there a long time ago, but it did not include China, Macau, and Taiwan. The reason why the Hong Kong government wants to add these three regions into the bill is because of a murder case, in which a Hongkonger killed his pregnant girlfriend in Taiwan and fled back to Hong Kong and got caught. There was no way for the HK government to send him back to Taiwan for trial because Taiwan is not included in the original extradition treaty. But now the bill is dead, and this murder will be running freely in Hong Kong, thanks to what you called "democracy". Any democracy for the victim and her family? Sen. Rubio, for your own sake, please stop lying to the American people, and stop commenting on something you know almost nothing about. And take your dirty money and leave Hong Kong and China.

Lobbyists are corporate entities that have their hand in the US government policies. The relationship between government and business is not a new concept in either the US or China. That relationship is a necessity for any modern society. It's just that in China the government goes to the corporate board room to build the connection, in the US the corporations station themselves in the halls of Congress to build the connection.
