This is hilarious!🤣
I love jokes like this. Jokes that mix both languages are the peak of Norwegian humor. My siblings and I call the mixture Ninglish. A funny one my dad told me some years ago goes like this: It's not the fart that kills you, it's the smell.

I remember a Dane I know uploading a photo he took in a pharmacy in the Faroe Islands. It was of an aisle that was labeled as “magi.” It means stomach in Faroese but means magic in Danish. He thought it was funny that Faroese pharmacies had an aisle for magic 😂

I've been attempting to learn Norwegian, these videos do not help other than to confuse me and be hilarious

Translator!:
Ugh..
There is something wrong with my stomach.
It is difficult to live without a stomach.
I went to this restaurant yesterday.
Of course with my stomach.
I wonder if I accidentally swallowed something.
Maybe it was the chicken with bones,
I wonder if that is the problem
What's wrong with you?
Anyway, the food was good.
I told them they have a really good chef.
...
(This is why we warn you that we are bad at English, because we speak Julekalendisk)

Ben = bone but ben can also translate into leg depends on the context

German proving useful due to Magen, same for Koch. Dunno who Ben is and why somebody was kylled.

Fun ones for Dutch people learning Norwegian:
- 'jeg' (I) sounds like the Dutch word for 'you': 'jij'
- a 'bart' (moustache) should not be confused with the Dutch 'baard' (beard)
- 'Bart' is also a Dutch name.
- 'bord' in Norwegian means 'table', but in Dutch it's the word for 'plate'
- 'gammel' in Dutch means wobbly or rickety, while in Norwegian it means old; though I guess if you're old, you might only be rickety 😅
- krakk is Norwegian for a stool, but 'krak' is also the sound something breaking makes.
- kak in Norwegian means a cake or cookie, but in Dutch it means poop 😅

My mom's Canadian friend was visiting Rio and she told the taxi driver in Portuguese "Wow, the Sugarloaf Mountain is so big!"...Except that she pronounced pão (pronounced pah-oom) in pão-de-açúcar (literally bread-of-sugar) as pau (pronounced pah-oo). Which is a slang word akin to cock. The driver nearly crashed from laughing so hard.

"Mage: The Ascension" hits differently in Swedish.
