I'm so glad your husband advocated to wait hours for pitocin and asked the right questions. It's a possibility it would have intervened with the natural flow of your birth.

My first labour was pre term at 36 weeks. He was a two hour labour and it was a shock to my whole system and the biggest lifetime change I have experienced as for every new parent I am sure.
I had my second baby on the side of a highway all alone...that was mind blowing!!

100% here you on the emotional recovery taking longer. My birth was about 8.5 hours from start to my son being born. I feel like I was in shock for weeks. I look back and can tell I was a little disassociated because of the whirlwind of it! 4 years later I am still amazed at what my body was capable of!

I am 33 weeks pregnant and so curious about everyone's birth stories and I had watched a couple preterm birth vlogs that really scared me to the point where I was fearing going into preterm labor. Your video came up in a search and I was skeptical to click on your video but I am so happy I did. I feel like you alleviated a lot of my worries about going into preterm labor. Ahh!! I'm so glad that you shared! I am currently 31+3 weeks and thinking about the possibility of my baby being in here like a month is INSANE! Even just thinking about them coming on time is crazy! 😂 I am planning on having my little one at a birth center with as little intervention as possible, so hearing about your experience is so fun! I'm so glad that you had Dan there to advocate for you!!! I will have my partner but we are also hiring a doula to help with anything and to advocate and educate me if needed. I'm not sure if you're planning on having anymore little ones but maybe next time you could look into a doula or midwife if you want to have another unmedicated birth, although it sounds like you rocked your first one!! 💚💕 I'd love to hear about your postpartum experience and whatever you're comfortable sharing 🥰

I gave birth to my son at 34 weeks exactly! He had the same birthdate as my husband! I was in a high risk pregnancy, and I broke my water a few days before giving birth. When Inwas admitted they tried and hoped to keep my baby until at least 35-36weeks, but my baby couldnt wait! He came just at 8pm on his dad's birthday!
I love being a mom and good luck to all moms to be out there and to all the newmoms!

Thank you for sharing your birth, your story stood out to me as a preemie mom. I am pregnant with my second but it's been almost 8 years since my last birth and she was born at 29 weeks due to spontaneous labor, water stayed intact even, the doctor ruptured it 20 minutes or so before she was born to relieve some pressure. #2 is cooking well though, and I'm hoping for full term. 👶🏽 Congratulations on your little one 🙏🏽
