The head position of native French speakers is low, because the sounds come from the back of the mouth, English is in the mouth, especially American, which leads to raising the head position and imposing the voice, that's why it sounds higher. This happens also with Spanish, the phonemes are buccal and the projection of the voice is greater (that's why Spanish people speak very loudly), and in German, the phonemes are deep, in fact, if you're not a native, you'll never get a good French or German accent if you don't put your chin down while speaking
