What if Blue Heelers came in Blue Merle! Meet the Coosa Heeler

Показать описание
As Blue Heeler lovers, our goal was to selectively breed a dog that had the look, grit, savvy and temperament of a Blue Heeler, but to open up the color palate.
The Coosa Heeler is a breed derivative of the Blue Heeler that is 75% Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) 12.5% Australian Koolie and 12.5% Hangin Tree Cowdog.
All of the Coosa puppies eventually come to have the prick (standing) ear just like a Blue Heeler. The head type is very similar and in general they have the same coat length.
About half of them come with the blue merle markings. Some percentage of the others (Approx 30%, we're finding) will have the standard blue heeler colors (blue/grey). Two of the puppies you see in the video (Gypsy and Lace) appear to be white. They have a blue undercoat already and will eventually turn blue. (All Blue Heeler puppies are born white and eventually "blue up'). The ones that don't come out blue merle or solid blue come out black or black with tan points. While the black ones aren't as flashy as the blue merles, think how interesting and eye-catching a dog would be that looked almost identical to a Heeler's conformation, but with a sleek black coat.
