Good video. That's a nice case. You've no doubt discovered you can't use two internal floppy drives on the A500 as the controller for the external is in the external floppy case. One of the cost reductions used was a controller with only single floppy support as opposed to the A2000 with dual support. Just in case you haven't gone further with this problem there are adapter boards available that will allow you to switch between the GoTek and the Floppy. Some do all of the rewiring on the adapter and use a toggle switch and there are those that use soft-switching.

I was able to get my Gotek and my floppy both working in my Checkmate case. Apparently the A500 board doesn't route all the correct signals to the floppy connector and also needs the drive to generate a response on the RDY line when DF1: is addressed, . So I had to make a little board that sits under the Even CIA and also gets connected to the motherboard floppy connector. It provides a new floppy connector electrically identical to the one on the A2000 motherboard. The two floppies can be connected using a 34 pin cable with a twist. I can send you one to try out if you're interested.

Were you ever able to get the Gotek and the floppy working together? I'm putting together a pretty similar configuration and am trying to figure out what I need to do to get this going.

Did all the motherboard mounting holes line up? I have an issue with 2 mounting posts not lining up.
