Welcome!
Today's video concludes my improv F-101B Voodoo trilogy with the beautiful RCAF CF-101B Voodoo. This one's in the airshow demo colors of 416 "Lynx" Squadron. Be sure to check out my previous two F-101 reviews to get the full history of this Cold Warrior. Thanks for watching!

An ex-RAE Farnborough apprentice and RAF AEO (1958-66), the Voodoo is my favourite jet of the 1950s-60s.

This channel is getting spookier by the week! I also have this model, it was one of the first that kicked of this hobby. Low key regret it though, as the paintjob doesn't fit anything else in my collection.

The stand setup is better imo. Maybe get a turn table to make it spin and you got a winner :D

172nd Air Wing it is extremely unlikely any RCAF or CAF CF-101 would have ever mounted a nuclear missile, let alone the display aircraft your model depicts. Why do I say this? Well Canada had some US ground stationed nuclear tipped interceptor missile starting back in the 1960s. No nuclear warhead was ever installed, neither was any other type of explosive - they were ballasted with sand bags.

You know what - that rotary weapon bay makes the model light at the front beyond the main landing gear. Thus Hobby Master has made the tail stabilizers out of plastic to prevent the model from sitting on its tail when displayed on the ground. I discovered this due to an unfortunate incident. I believe the CF-101 or F-101 is the only Hobby Master model to use plastic in the tail plane.
