At last the well pump for the 5 acre pond is being installed! Will it work? Will James Brown get it past "the bottom"? Will it pump usable water?

you can get 20 ft sticks with bell housing on them for your schedule 40 from plumbing supply companies. way cheaper than box stores and much more solid connections. No couplers needed.

Hey Geoff! I worked golf course irrigation for years and know PVC and those valves well! Be careful with that PVC above ground, the sun will make it super brittle over time and fail. I would suggest burying it and put in valve boxes for your valves to access them. The well looks great!

Jeff, where you tee off the line to split the water to the 5 acre pond and the small pond - if you don't have a valve on the small pond side, when you pump, aren't you going to lose a lot of pressure because a lot of water will still want to move towards the small pond? Whereas, if you block flow in that direction, you'll get a heap more pressure directed toward the 5 acre pond.

Good work guys, especially like the pipe to the duck pond. And, WOW! The Ride of the Valkyries! Volume went WAY up. Thank you for that.

The chickens are looking forward to moving in to their new coop by the pond.

Well water is one way to recycle water - lovely to see how clean it is and always good to have an alternative water supply. Tractor - fun with you know who coming up.

Putting the PVC pipe together? Think of Tinkertoys. You can do all sorts of neat things with pipe. Congrats on the well working like it does. I think you're gonna be happy that you did the pump now, vs later. I get the budget thing, but when you wait for something you need it always seems to bite you in the ass. And can't wait to see the mini backhoe you got. Loved Chris's video of it and want to see yours. Thanks Geoff for sharing with us all.

That pond is going to fill up a lot faster now. Good for a minute there I thought you weren't going to get any water at all. That trickle would have taken forever to fill up the pond. 😂

Suspense before the initial release was epic, almost like my bladder after a couple cold ones. Your fish will really enjoy the fresh cool water in the hot summer months. Good job Geoff.

Congratulations on getting the pump working. The punch list is getting worked down, bit by bit. Pond is looking good. Love the tractor and with that much property, it should serve you well. I saw Chris' video yesterday with it. It won't take you long to get the hang of it. Great video. Thanks.

The rated flow of the well is the determining factor!

Been looking forward to this video for a while. The flow might not be enough to rapid fill the lake but it will certainly help o maintain it during the summer. The cost of the well will not be any cheaper than it is now. Plus you can use the water to make a little stream going into the pond. The sound of running water is very relaxing.
