RAF applicants described as ‘useless white males’

Sky News has seen leaked emails to RAF recruiters, describing white men seeking to join the air force as "useless white males".

The emails, which expose the pressure to boost diversity in the RAF, reveal that a number of selection boards to find new recruits were cancelled, if they did not include women, or people from ethnically diverse backgrounds.

Defence sources say the revelations appear to contradict assurances from the outgoing head of the air force, who has insisted that efforts to improve diversity did not discriminate against white men.

This is ridiculous. The RAF should be recruiting anyone who wants to join. If Females and BAME are not interested in joining, then we can't force them to join, and at the same time, should not refuse white males from joining, simply as they don't fit this political agenda.

Unfortunately being in favour of equality has spilt in to discrimination against British white males. I am pretty sure this would go beyond only recruitment but also a big factor with promotions and not just in the RAF but the whole of the armed forces.

This type of discrimination against home grown white men and women has been with us for years in most other vocational areas like the police force among other civil services but also its negative impact has affected areas like civil engineering, teaching, retail and many more.

I wonder what all those white males who fought in the Battle of Britain would think of the RAF now? Not to mention those who have fought in the numerous wars since then, Falklands and Gulf wars etc. If we don't stop denigrating a significant part of society who do not get appreciated for the huge positive impact they have had on THE WORLD, there will be a backlash.

"efforts to improve diversity did not discriminate against white men" is inherently impossible. If ethnicity, gender or race is taken into consideration, instead of purely suitability for the role, it is automatically discriminating. And also racist
