The Gospel Crusaders - He Will See You Through

Bill Pratt and the Gospel Crusaders of Winston-Salem, North Carolina released two albums and two singles on Champ, a single on Jamack, and a single on Pride. It seems like they still perform occasionally. This is from their second album on Champ, Child's Prayer. This has been one of my favorite songs for a long time. It's pretty stunning in every respect, but Robert Crawford's guitar work is of special note.



I am always interested in hearing from members of groups and their families, as well as anyone who can help tell the story of these groups. I've recently decided to incorporate as much biographical information as I can track down about the groups whose records I post, and I'm going back through former posts as time permits to add as much information as possible. Names and biographies of group members, other groups that they played in, dates of releases, home cities of groups, information about labels - really anything is useful. The men and women who gave glory with this great music deserve to be remembered better.
