My husband had a stroke 2 weeks ago that resulted in him having global aphasia. Hope to start speech therapy this week. Your videos are just what I need: full of concrete useful information. Thank you so much for all of this.

Thank you for this very helpful video. I have a 30 year old brother who became aphasic (with dominant hemiplegia) in a traumatic brain injury a decade ago. He is in Pakistan and there aren't many resources for aphasia treatment. One persistent problem that I now understand is that he also has apraxia of speech alongwith aphasia which makes his communication very very limited. His writing has improved a lot in comparison to verbal speech. The words that he does try to produce don't sound right, and have no clarity. Most of the communication he does with people around him is with gestures which are often not understood, so his aphasia/apraxia is quite socially isolating.
It has taken me a long time to understand that his problem is dual, and so far we were mainly trying to find resources for aphasia only. Are there any resources to help patients who have both these problems combined? I will really appreciate any hints/guidances.

Fish oil and coconut oil causes nerve cell regeneration. Army on research on it. Lady doctor on Alzheimer's...it worked for her husband, sago mine disaster victim on fish oil. Me...had aphasia. Multiple strokes. Could only barely crawl amd had sto learn to stand up and walk again. Omce couldn't understand English. Be patient. Brairecovery is slow but worked each time for me. A year or 2" try to walk if can. Try 20 to 4o min a day, it releases BdNF.
