How to re-activate Windows 10 after a hardware change (Insider Preview)

In this video I am going to show you the new Insider Preview of Windows 10. There have been a lot of improvements in the security, stability and graphical interface alongside with few handy new features, like the Activation troubleshooter. In order to re-activate the device with a digitally signed key you will need a Microsoft Account. According to Microsoft there are few possible problems that can prevent you from re-activating:

1. Windows 10 was never activated on your PC.
2. Your computer is not running a genuine version of the operating system.
3. The edition of Windows 10 does not match the edition of the operating system you linked to your digital license.
4. The device you are trying to activate does not match the type of device you have linked to your digital license.
5. There is a limit number of times you can re-activate. If you reach 6. that limit, you will not be able to activate Windows 10.
7. The edition of the operating system installed on your computer is not Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home.
8. Your computer is a managed device by your organization, in which case the re-activation tool is not available. If this is your case, you'll need to contact your system administrator.

thanks a lot, recently i upgraded my pc, and thinking to buy another license, but then i see this video and troubleshooting into changed hardware, now everything works great, no need to buy another copy of win 10.

Damn! Volume levelling. You go from quite as a mouse to loud intro music. Try levelling your volumes or learn to fade audio.

Hey friend. I change my motherboard and replace it with a new one and now i'm unable to reactivate windows 10 again. I have the free upgrade for my windows 10 version. I did the troubleshooter but all I'm getting out of this troubleshooter is some message saying

( Unable to activate Windows We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later )

6 years after. I think its a good feature I recently upgraded my ssd on windows 11 and it automatically detected and activated my windows.

I have changed mobo, my account is linked and the microsoft decided yep its not actovated. My Error code is : 0xC004C008 Different to this issue. I have clicked "I recently changed hardware on this device"> select my desktop (running 2 laptops with same account to) and the end result is unable to activate windows.

I have also tried to re-enter code but yet again doesnt let me.

Any ideas?

So i have purchased new mobo, and plan to swap my old mobo with new one with new Windows Installation. Do I need to deactivate my window from old mobo first? how? I've purchased Windows 10 retail license and have link to my MS Account (for my old mobo)

changed my motherboard yesterday and it says windows is activated but im getting stutters and slowness on videos and games and everything the troubleshoot does not even show up

so i tried troubleshoot after "just a moment " it only says unable to activate windows. we cant reactivate windows as our servers aren`t available right now. Wait for a few moments or try adding microsoft account again. WTF
